Virginia State University. 1 year, 3.8 gpa. English/Art Major. Homeschooling qualified. Taught my youngest child, k-12. 1988-2000.His stats, 3.8 GPA, SATs upper 10% of highschool graduate's. 2014-2015 Tutored 6 students in Ghana Africa. Bringing them up to proper grade level.
Experience
I have extensive to tutor in teaching children and adults that do not learn by conventional methods. I have taught siniors to read. Worked with students and adults who were told they were slow. Truth was, they needed to learn a different method. I use music,art,magazines, poietry,games, confidence and self worth and anything else that is needed. I specialize in teaching people how they can train themselves to learn. Most have just learned to fear learning. I have worked in counciling for over thirity years and know how to watch peoples (tells) example: an adult who cannot read gathers the tools of memorization, guessing. Kids who are slow, are mostly artistically inclined more than literarily, the need visual aids, music, hands on and other things to capture their interest, and awaken their abilities. I want to tutor, because I'm good at it and I was a student my k-12 said. I could not learn. I have written 3 childrens books, 12 Christian books and a work book I am currently constructing. I also have an extensive art program, with videos and printouts. I write music and sing.
